Sub Swara is a genre bending collaboration from the flourishing art haven of Brooklyn, New York, consisting of Dhruva, Dave, and Haj, with vocalist Juakali. There are no limits to the sounds that influence Sub Swara’s music. From punk to hip hop, from funk to house, the music is meticulously molded for massive dance tents, your headphones, and everywhere in between. Sub Swara seamlessly connects electronic production and live instrumentation to form unique live performances and intricate recordings. In 2008 Sub Swara released its first album “Coup d’Ya” on Low Motion Records. The album was immediately followed by a slew of remixes by such heavy hitting producers as Mochipet, Eskmo, Heyoka, and iLL.Gates just to name a few. A year after the release of Coup D’Ya, Sub Swara produced 10 remixes of their own for artists such as For Knox 5, Bassnectar, and Shiva Soundsystem. But they didn’t stop there; Sub Swara toured relentlessly playing at “marquee events” such as “Coachella Musical Festival, All Points West, Decibel Music Festival, Shambhala Music Festival, and Dub War NYC, sharing the stage with such next level artists as Skream, Benga, The Glitch Mob, Bassnectar, EOTO, and STS9. The group is currently working on their second full length album set to be released in the second half of 2010 and the creation of mind blowing sets for their live shows.
